Local community health centers get federal funding!

Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded more than $1.3 billion to 1,387 health centers across the country to be used to support the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding can be used to detect, prevent, diagnose and treat COVID-19 and maintain or increase health capacity and staffing levels to address this public health emergency.

The funding for centers in our area ranged from approximately $600,000 to $1.4 million and went to Alliance Medical Center in Healdsburg, Mendocino Coast Clinics in Fort Bragg, Coastal Health Alliance i Point Reyes, Mendocino Community Health Clinic in Ukiah, Open Door Community Health Clinics in Arcata, Redwood Coast Medical Services in Gualala, Redwoods Rural Health Center in Redway, Southern Trinity Health Services in Mad River and Sonoma Valley Community Health Center in Sonoma.
