[UPDATE 4:26 p.m.] Motorcycle Crash on Avenue; Two Injured
A motorcycle crashed on the Avenue of the Giants near Cathey Road north of Miranda a few minutes before 4 p.m. today.
According to a report on the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, two people are injured and an ambulance is responding to the accident scene.
Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.
UPDATE 4:21 p.m.: A second ambulance was requested, according to the dispatcher over the scanner. She said that there was one person with major injuries and one with other injuries.
The northbound lane is closed per the CHP page. There is one way traffic through the area.
UPDATE 4:26 p.m.: The request for the second ambulance has been canceled.

Prayers for the two injured and for the medical teams that rely upon their training, speedily helpfulness and calmness in times like this.
I heard them leave town. I understand and like the noise sometimes but they were hauling ass. If they do not know the road? two injured, one major. They just called for an additional ambulance.

You have no idea how much money the Family Mc donates to local charities. They are truly a great group of guys.

Any bike club put together has to go thu the highest authority of bike clubs and all clubs have to follow a certain criteria of rules so to call them wannabes is not the right way to put thing’s

Did you know about the string of robberies that happened on the avenue, and the Family cought the tweeker thieves and got the stolen goods back? That’s the kind of thing they do when the cops won’t help. If you actually knew any of the members personally, you’d have a different opinion. They’re all great guys who keep a strong filter and encourage others to better themselves. And by the way, that accident had nothing to do with the MC and it’s really inconsiderate to use a report on the loss of a person in this community to talk trash on others. Yes I ride, daily, hence my moniker. A real rider is determined by their rain gear. These “get out on a sunny day” guys are nothing more than “Sunday Drivers”, “Weekend Warriors”.

They may need to go to different hospitals depending on injuries, ambulance transfers are pretty common in our area. Hope they’re ok

Just met a guy at the ave cafe that was first on the scene he said the lady was banged up but ok and the driver looked like he had broken his neck and was barely breathing he’s sais it looked like he hit the bank head on flew over the handle bars right into the bank

It was an older couple in their 60’s not riding fast or part of anything. The brother was in front and the couple might have hit a animal and lost control. Had a helmet. Wasn’t driving fast, or a crotch rocket. Just people riding on a beautiful day on the weekend. I was the guy directing traffic and called 911. Just face it. Literally some of your are really the worst kind of people there is.
