[UPDATE:] Small Brush Fire on 101 North of Salmon Creek Exit

vegetation fire icon featureAt approximately 4:17 p.m., a fire was reported on the east side of Hwy 101 about mile marker 25 north of the Salmon Creek exit, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page.

The fire is burning on the east side of the road. A Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputy has blocked the outside lane next to the fire which is burning slowly through brush.

Multiple fire engines are at the scene.

Please drive carefully in the area as there are a number of first responders.

UPDATE: The fire is under control.

I believe there was a crew cutting grass on the east side of the guard rails
I think that is the area I saw them at today.

It’s back to the wet stuff tomorrow thru Friday, so that should help dampen things again!!!
