Poncho Polo Puppets Hosting Two Shows in August

This is a press release from the Poncho Polo Puppets:

Poncho Polo Puppets has been hosting puppet shows in the Mattole Valley and throughout Humboldt County since 1975.

In August we are celebrating a grand re-opening made possible through a grant from Ingrid Nickelsen Trust, a donation from Lost Coast Camp, and the Curtis Gettis Trust a fund of the Humboldt Area Foundation.

Two puppet performances will occur at Poncho Pollo in August. The first will be held on Sunday August 12th at 1 p.m. and the second will occur on Sunday August 26th at 1 p.m.  This is a free community event and donations are welcome.

For each performance, there will be 200 puppets on display showcasing a sampling of over four decades of collecting and creating puppets and marionettes. The puppet shows will begin at 1:00 followed by a puppet parade at 2:00.  Puppets will be provided for the audience to participate and perform their own puppet show.

Performances will be held at Poncho Polo Puppets in the Mattole Valley at 625 Lighthouse Road, Petrolia, CA 95558.
