She was the sun, the moon, AND the stars, and our world is dimmer without her. She was our favorite hello and the toughest goodbye. She was our person, and we don’t know how to walk this earth without her, though we’ll learn because that is how she raised us.

“This weekend we will gather to honor the memory of Sergeant Jim Mowrey.”

“He spent countless hours teaching his sons, nephews or whoever my brothers would drag home, and his grand kids how to trap, process and grade the hides for sale, and taking the kids to fur sales and rendezvous.”

“He will be remembered for his sweet nature and the mischievous sparkle in his eyes, and will be so deeply missed by all who knew him.”

“His passions were many, politics, food, theater, film, and fashion; Paul traveled the world enjoying pastries in Paris, vodka in Red Square, and clubbing all night in London.”

“The Covid restrictions over the last two plus years have prevented many people from saying an official farewell to loved ones that passed on during that time.  Perhaps some of you still need closure.  On behalf of Dorene, her friends and family invite the community to bring photos of their loved ones, their stories and join in farewell.”

“You were there. I know it. I was sitting on the front porch the next morning. That fog rolled in to the neighborhood, at a walking pace you might say. It changed direction twice, went right in front of me then a minute later, it was gone. Was that you?”

“Marie always loved a good conversation and a game of cards, preferably Gin Rummy.  During these times, her guests could count on delicious snacks being provided by their host.  In fact, cooking and hosting family dinners were something that Marie took great pride in.”
