School District Switches to Solar and Saves Big

The grid-tied system will offset 100% of the Miranda campuses electricity usage, which currently costs the district approximately $90K annually. That saving will only increase as electricity costs rise. Of that savings, about two-thirds will be used to repay the zero percent CEC loan over the next nine years. After the repayment of the loan, the district will be saving over $90K annually for the life of the system, which is guaranteed for 25 years.

Redwoods Rural Health Center Votes to Revoke Its Membership’s Authority in Order to Ensure Federal Funding

On February 23rd, the Redwoods Rural Health Center (RRHC) voted to revoke member responsibility and authority at their monthly Board of Director’s meeting. The decision to change the health center’s bylaws arose after HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) found that RRHC bylaws were not in compliance with the federal guidelines.

The Six River National Forest Awarded Grant for Fuel Reduction in the Big Flat Area
