‘Hood Rider’ Ejected from Moving Vehicle on Highway 20 North of Ukiah

The incident was reported at approximately 3:10 p.m. Scanner traffic indicated the person was riding on the hood of the moving vehicle when they were thrown off. Cal Fire units were first on scene.
The ejected person was reported to be in severe pain, and an air ambulance was requested. Advanced life support was en route as of the latest available information. No visible injuries were reported on other parties involved.
How or why the person came to be on the hood of the vehicle was not immediately known. This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
