Two-Vehicle Crash Near Trinidad Leaves Ford Pickup on Its Roof

Traffic collision, crash, wreck, feature iconA traffic collision involving a Toyota 4Runner and a white Ford F-350 pickup is delaying traffic on southbound Highway 101 north of Trinidad near Big Lagoon this morning.

According to information from the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page, the crash occurred at approximately 8:25 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 near the 110.5 mile marker.

Initial reports indicated a black Toyota 4Runner and a white Ford F-350 were involved in the collision. The Toyota came to rest blocking the southbound lane, while the Ford pickup reportedly overturned and came to rest on its roof along the right-hand shoulder.

About 8:41 a.m., a CHP officer reported traffic backing up in the area and requested traffic control.

Tow trucks were requested for both vehicles. Buddy’s Towing was dispatched, and a second tow truck was later requested for the overturned Ford F-350.

The extent of any injuries was not immediately available but an ambulance was requested.

Motorists traveling through the area experienced slight delays while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
