Man Allegedly Stabs Woman in Ukiah Just Now

A reported domestic violence stabbing led to a search for a suspect near Costco in Ukiah on this afternoon.

According to scanner traffic, the first reports of a possible domestic violence stabbing came in around 4:45 p.m. A female victim had reportedly been stabbed in a field there. As deputies and officers headed toward the area, the male suspect was reported to be fleeing northbound on the rail trail.

Mendocino County Sheriff’s deputies from the Ukiah Valley and Central patrol areas responded along with Ukiah Police officers.

Scanner traffic indicated officers contacted a subject soon after. One person was reportedly held at gunpoint before he was put in handcuffs and led to a patrol car.

The incident centered near Airport Park Boulevard.

The condition of the female victim has not yet been released. However, the ambulance took the victim to the hospital Code 2 (urgent response, but no emergency lights or siren.)
