TikTok Influencer Gabbie Gonzalez Arrested at McKinleyville Airport on Alleged Murder Conspiracy Warrant
TikTok influencer Gabriela “Gabbie” Gonzalez was arrested last Saturday at the Arcata-Eureka Airport in McKinleyville in connection with an alleged murder-for-hire plot targeting singer Jack Avery, confirmed Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Jesse Taylor.
Taylor told Redheaded Blackbelt that the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office assisted another law enforcement agency in her arrest at the California Redwood Coast – Humboldt County Airport at the north end of McKinleyville.*
“Last Saturday HCSO assisted LA County DA with the apprehension,” Taylor said in a message to RHBB. “She was taken into custody at ACV in McKinleyville without incident and booked into [the Humboldt County Correctional Facility].”
He told us that the charges include conspiracy to commit murder. After her arrest and booking, he told us that she was “subsequently turned over to LA County.”

Multiple media outlets report that Gonzalez is now being held without bail in Los Angeles County in a case involving allegations that she, her father attorney Francisco Gonzalez, and her former boyfriend, Kai Cordrey, conspired to kill Avery, a former member of the boy band Why Don’t We.

According to a press release from the LA County District Attorney’s Offic, investigators allege the plot stemmed from a prolonged custody dispute involving Gonzalez and Avery, who share a daughter. Prosecutors argue Francisco Gonzalez paid money to hire a hitman and say discussions included staging Avery’s death as a car crash.
According to allegations in the press release,
In April 2021, Gonzalez’s father, Francisco Gonzalez, allegedly sent $10,000 to Cordrey as front money to use in locating, hiring and paying someone to kill Avery.
Cordrey allegedly requested and received an additional $4,000 from Francisco Gonzalez two months later after the alleged hit man asked for the additional funds. Several days later, Cordrey allegedly requested that Avery be killed within a couple of days.
In September 2021, an undercover law enforcement officer posing as a hitman spoke with Cordrey about the murder-for-hire plot. Cordrey is accused of telling the undercover officer that Avery was the target and discussed payment and proof of death.
In a subsequent conversation, Cordrey allegedly told the purported hitman that Gabriela Gonzalez wanted the murder to happen and Francisco Gonzalez could pay for the expense.
The DA release states, “Gabriela Lauren Gonzalez (dob 9/6/01), Francisco Gonzalez (dob 12/23/66) and Kai Faron Cordrey (dob 10/13/99) were charged in case 26CJCF03024 with one count each of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and solicitation of murder.”
After learning of the allegations, Avery reportedly sought a restraining order, according to TMZ.

The typical results from humboldt police. They are not very competent.
They literally had nothing to do with any of this besides arresting her at the airport and handing her over to la law enforcement. Seems they were confident enough for that.
Do people even read the stories anymore? Humboldt sheriffs were asked to assist in making the arrest and the suspect was transferred down to LA county where the case is from.
Note that I really wasn’t complaining about our local LEO/Court System.

I’m surprised how much schadenfreude is shown in these comments. Come on, there’s a child who may not have a mother. Also, the case has not been abjudicated. Have a little compassion for others. I guess that’s a lot to ask in a comment section full of old Humboldt guys.

Besides is being an “influencer” on TikTok a respectable profession? When did being famous for being famous earn a person much of anything when the influence starts running in a negative direction? Attention was her whole point after all.
