If you are physically fit and have a desire to fight wildland fires this may be a job, you would like. It is extremely hard work and dangerous. The pay scale is not too bad, but it depends on if you are new or a seasoned veteran. You work long hours sometimes with little time to rest, sleep or eat. The job does come with pride for you have helped the other firefighters put that flaming beast to rest. If you join, please watch your back, look for falling limbs, trees, etc. Stay safe on the front lines and thank you!
