[UPDATE 11:01 a.m.] Moving Van Strikes Two Poles Near 1st and U Streets in Eureka

traffic accidentA Humboldt Moving and Storage van struck two Pacific Gas and Electric Company utility poles near the intersection of 1st and U streets in Eureka at approximately 10:15 a.m., according to information over the scanner.

The collision damaged both poles. Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) was requested to respond to assess the damage and determine whether repairs or additional safety measures are necessary. At this point, there has been no reported outages at the time of publication.

UPDATE 11:01 a.m.: AT&T has been asked to respond for the two down poles. The debris has been removed from the roadway and traffic is able to move freely in the area.

I think so and replace it with “power pole buster” of the year. Looking for a new job in the moving business just give them a ring.
