Born on November 1, 1952, in Arcata, California, to Bud and Dorothy Dudal (Snider). Patricia Ellen Jones went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2025, while surrounded by her loving family.

Raised in Humboldt County, Patty was one of five siblings. She married James “Jim” Jones on August 13, 1974, and they shared 51 wonderful years of marriage in McKinleyville and Arcata. Patty was a devoted mother to five daughters: Angela Sloan-Robinson (Chris), Julie Payton (Ron), Brandy Jones, Heather Edwards (Robert), and Shannon Chase (James).

She also leaves behind her sisters Carleen Sutherland (Dale), Teresa Williams (Kelly), and Janet Dudal (Merle Jones), as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Nick, Julieza, Leah, Patrick, Shelbie, Michael, Riley, Connor, Mathew, Makenna, Allisyn, Hudson, and great-grandchildren Braden, Sailor, and Miles. Many  nieces , nephews, and cousins.

Patty was known for her creativity, including toll painting, woodworking, and floral design. She was an enthusiastic bowler and enjoyed playing cards, marbles, bingo, and fishing. She managed Arcata Florist and Valley West Mobile Estates and was actively involved in Arcata Youth Football, where she volunteered, ran the snack bar, and supported her grandchildren in football and cheer.

Patty was loved for her warmth, humor, and generous spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Dorothy Dudal, her sister Linda Waterman, her granddaughter Julieza Payton, and her brother-in-law Merle Jones.

To honor and celebrate Patty’s life, we will hold two celebrations of life gatherings, allowing loved ones near and far to come together in remembrance. You are warmly invited to attend either or both gatherings. The first celebration will be on January 24, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at the Samoa Women’s Club, 115 Rideout Avenue, Samoa, California, 95564.
