Three Injured After Sedan Goes Off Roadway at Highway 101/1 Junction

traffic accidentThree people were injured Thursday afternoon when a blue sedan went off the roadway at the junction of Highway 101 and Highway 1, according to emergency radio traffic.

The crash was first reported about 4:04 p.m., with California Highway Patrol dispatch notes indicating the vehicle had left the roadway near the interchange. Responding crews requested an air ambulance but declined the request. The first unit on scene reported three occupants self-extricated and were described as “walking wounded.” Subsequent scanner traffic indicated there were two patients in need of medical attention.

Ground resources were continued.

No roadway blockage was reported, however, use caution if traveling in the area due to responding emergency personnel.

If you are injured and really need quick medical assistance, I think if the requested air ambulance won’t come then call our brave men and women of the Coast Guard. They will fly through hell to get someone in need!
