DCC, Fish and Wildlife and HCSO Involved in Cannabis Enforcement Activity in Redway Today

Around 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, December 17, multiple law enforcement agencies conducted what appeared to be cannabis-related enforcement activity in the 800 block of Redway Drive in Redway.

Redheaded Blackbelt reporter Lisa Music happened upon the scene and livestreamed video (see above) showing multiple law enforcement present. Vehicles associated with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife could be seen, along with other vehicles commonly associated with cannabis enforcement. She also saw agents wearing clothing with the letters DCC. In Southern Humboldt, the presence of these agencies together has often accompanied cannabis-related search warrants, though no official confirmation has been provided in this case.

As of publication, the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC), MET, and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office had not responded to requests for information. The purpose of the activity—whether it involved a search warrant, inspection, or another type of enforcement action—remains unconfirmed.

The Redway activity follows a law enforcement convoy reported Tuesday morning along Mattole Road. Residents in southwestern Humboldt County reported seeing between 10 and 15 law enforcement vehicles, some unmarked, traveling east of Honeydew near Windy Nip Gap and later heading west toward Petrolia. Witnesses told Redheaded Blackbelt the convoy appeared to include vehicles associated with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.

The purpose of that operation also remains unclear. Redheaded Blackbelt reached out to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office for information on Tuesday morning’s activity but had not received a response by publication time.

While the timing, location, and agencies involved suggest the two incidents may possibly be related, there has been no official confirmation linking them and they just may be occurring close together for convivence of the agencies.

Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.

Cannabis related enforcement activity. HA! Busting outlaw dopers. Calling illegal aliens undocumented immigrants didn’t change who they are, and neither does this. Nice try.
