Reports Describe Large Law Enforcement Convoy Moving Through Remote Southern Humboldt
Residents in southwestern Humboldt County reported seeing a sizable law enforcement convoy traveling along Mattole Road on Tuesday morning, with sightings beginning east of Honeydew and later, west, along the route toward Petrolia.
According to those who observed the activity, between 10 and 15 vehicles—some of them unmarked—were first spotted near Windy Nip Gap. Witnesses later saw the convoy heading west toward Petrolia. Eyewitnesses who contacted Redheaded Blackbelt said the group appeared to include vehicles associated with Fish and Wildlife as well as the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.
The purpose of the operation remains unclear. Redheaded Blackbelt has reached out to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office for information, but officials have not yet provided details regarding the nature of the incident or operation.

What/who is left of fish and game after all the firings…or were the firings “Just” the Forest Service folk? I would hope that they only go after grows that are doing ecological damage and I am not naive enough to be entirely confident that is their focus …would be nice though. If ICE starts posing as Fish and Game then they’ve hit a new low; besides they don’t feel a need to even bother with such tactics – they just come in with masks unmarked, unbadged and do what they will.
if legal immigrants had more protections from abuse by their employers/visa holders we’d have fewer illegal immigrants for sure. Also America demands so much consumption that only slave labor can provide.

Exactly WHAT are you sick of? “many once-radical ideas (Social Security, minimum wage, public infrastructure) are now mainstream, while modern democratic socialists advocate for social safety nets and economic equality within a democratic framework”…
Playing the victim martyr scenario isn’t going to work. At this point given the lack of independent oversight of LE and on top of that how ICE is behaving, while I hope it doesn’t get to that point it is going to be on the verge of in not actual self defense if citizens strike back.
What makes martyrs and causes suffering among good LE (if they even dare to work among the others) is:
—Bad behaving LE
– our negligence to march in the streets, participate in local government, demand independent oversight and consequences
— alos we need to stop giving LE so much resposibility for our lack of civic duty and civil duty and stop dumping on them our addiction, houseless and mental health sufferers we refuse to invest in care for.
But hey we have our priorities and perks : celebrities with butt implants and we have giant cars and fast food entitlement and our own personal professional pizza ovens and air fyers and pasta makers and adults are busy playing video games and binge watching servers so to heck with the streets filling with elderly, children, the abused and suffering…been like that in India and some other places so here we go no matter our weath we made poor choices and are left with what we invested in and what we did not.

We got the warning on our local grapevine this morning out here in Mattole. Always appreciated. You never know who they might be after. I don’t guess many people think they’re coming in to bust weed, though i suppose anything’s possible.
We’ve had more than a couple of “wanted” psycho whack jobs come out here thinking it’s a good place to escape the law. Not! You’d be better off in a bustling city… you stick out like a sore thumb here. Anyway, law enforcement could be after someone like that; if so, sic ’em! (But please drive reasonably while on your search. I don’t care who you are or what agency you represent, you cannot drive like a madman or like you’re on a freeway on these roads. No, no, no.)

I would like to thank the EQ task force for their quick response and successful actions which abated the “Big One” which otherwise would have wreaked havoc across the North Coast region. I appreciate that they have the wherewithal and resources to do so. And I hope they don’t mind this post, considering how they humbly keep their heads down, never seeking attention nor credit.
