The crash was first reported at 10:55 a.m. as a vehicle accident with a person trapped. Cal Fire arrived minutes later and reported that an 18-wheeler was on its side with debris blocking the westbound lane. Tow resources were immediately requested.
Scanner traffic indicated the driver told responders that his load of boulders shifted, contributing to the truck tipping onto its side. Despite the severity of the crash, no injuries were reported.
By 11:28 a.m., crews were directing one-way traffic through the area while the westbound lane remained closed. Multiple tow units, including heavy recovery equipment, were dispatched to upright and remove the truck.
Caltrans was contacted to assist with traffic control, and clean-up and recovery operations were underway as of the publication of this article. Please use caution when traveling in the area.

One lucky semi driver.
Those truck drivers take 20 WAAAAY too fast!! This does NOT surprise me! I live in Fort Bragg, and we have to share the road with these idiots all the time! I’m surprised they haven’t killed someone yet, and I hope that that does NOT happen!!
Which “area” should be avoinded? Is this west of Willits or east of 101?
It is west of Willits. The nearest road is listed, and an interactive map is attached for those unfamiliar with the road named.
Thanks
