Humboldt County Civil Grand Jury Has A Vacant Position
Press release from Humboldt County Civil Grand Jury:
Although the term has already begun, vacancies occur during the term and alternates are needed at this time. The Humboldt Superior Court empanels 19 citizens to act as an independent investigating body of the judicial system each year.
The primary work of the civil grand jury is to investigate and review citizen complaints concerning the operations of city and county government as well as other tax supported and non-profit agencies and districts.
Based on these reviews, the civil grand jury publishes its findings and reports recommending constructive actions to improve the quality and effectiveness of our local government.

Humboldt co jury services are a disaster. The last there times have been summonsed, they have compleatly failed to process me, or the check in did not recognize my ID, and they never called back when i left a message about this issue. Typical government employees. How idiocracy came true.
That may or may not be true, but this article has nothing to do with summoned juries.
Exactly. To be on the civil grand jury means filling out and application and would also require at least knowing the difference between a grand jury and a trial jury.
On the other hand, any idiot can be summoned and seated on a trial jury. Well, almost any it would seem.
All juries are ran from the same county office.
