Pedestrian Badly Injured After Being Struck Near Murray Road Onramp

Pedestrian vs VehicleAround 7:24 a.m. this morning, emergency responders were dispatched to a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian near the southbound onramp to Highway 101 at Murray Road, just north of McKinleyville. The CHP page reported that they were taken to the hospital with major injuries.

According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page, a caller reported seeing the vehicle on the right-hand side and the pedestrian, a woman, sitting on the opposite shoulder following the impact.

An  ambulance came to the scene and transported the pedestrian to Mad River Hospital, according to the CHP page.
