[Update: Reach on Scene at 1:13 p.m.] Motorcyclist Injured in Collision on Shelter Cove Road; Air Ambulance Requested

A traffic collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle occurred late Tuesday Thursday morning on Shelter Cove Road near Beach Road, according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page.

The crash was reported at approximately 10:48 a.m. and involved a motorcycle and a gray Ford Econoline. According to the CHP log, the rider was found in a ditch on the east side of the road and may have been struck by the vehicle. Debris from the collision was reported in the roadway.

Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene, with medical aid requested for the rider. Details about the extent of injuries have not yet been confirmed. An air ambulance has been requested.

Use caution if travelling in the area as emergency personnel respond to the scene.

Update 11:11 a.m.: According to scanner traffic, Reach 11 is inbound from the Redding area with an estimated time of arrival to the designated landing zone at the Shelter Cove Airport by 11:59 a.m.

Update 1:54 p.m.: The CHP log states that the Reach helicopter landed in the road at 1:13 p.m. and was providing patient care prior to departure.

The involved motorcycle is described as a Honda dirt bike.

I pray that the injured rider will make a complete recovery from his/her injuries. I do not know who caused the accident so I can’t lay blame on either party at this time. Thank you to Reach 80 for taking the call.

Miggs, why the nasty reply to me. I just said I was not there, so I do not know who caused the accident. Waiting for a follow up report from the CHP. Stickman said Guy on motorcycle was being follows by his Dad in a Truck to Look at Land in Shelter Cove to purchase. Rider Seth 32. Hit by another truck at Watertank just off Shelt Cove Road.
whew.
feel so bad for the Dad. Praying for the guy. Stickman was real upset. nice day dry road 4pm. WTF.
