Caltrans Schedules Roadwork Across North Coast, Motorists Urged to Expect Delays

Del Norte County

  • U.S. 101 (35.8/36.5) – Construction at the Dr. Fine Bridge near Smith River will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C101WA
  • U.S. 199 (8.1/11) – Emergency work between the Northbound Scenic Turnout and Hardscrabble Creek Bridge is scheduled weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Travelers should expect up to 15-minute delays. LC#C199DA

 Humboldt County

  • Route 36 (4.4/6.1) – Construction upgrades near Carlotta are scheduled to continue. Expect 15-minute delays weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. LC#C36IA
  • Route 36 (15.7/16.3) – Slide response west of Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park will continue. Delays of up to 2 hours are possible weekdays. Check “Caltrans District 1” social media and QuickMap for the latest information. LC#T36HA
  • Route 36 (19.6) – Emergency work west of Maple Grove will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C36JA
  • Route 36 (25.3/25.4) – Work east of Bridgeville continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C36UA
  • Route 36 (31.6/33.5) – Pavement work is scheduled between McClellan Mountain Summit and Larabee Valley Rd weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Expect up to 15-minute delays. LC#C36BA
  • Route 36 (34.5) – Bridge work at the Butte Creek Bridge 4-116 continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Travelers should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C36UA
  • Route 36 (41.2) – Permit work is scheduled near Dinsmore Road weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P36BA
  • Route 96 (0.8/3.2) – Utility work will take place from the Trinity Valley Elementary School to the Pipeline Overcrossing through Friday, August 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect each day with possible 10-minute delays. LC#C96BA
  • Route 96 (3.2/4.7) – Utility work is scheduled near the Pipeline Overcrossing. One-way traffic control will be in effect, with possible 10-minute delays. LC#C96BA
  • Route 96 (29.9/41.5) – Permit work is scheduled at various locations between Slate Creek Road and Whitmore Creek River Access. Expect one-way traffic control Monday through Friday with delays of up to 5 minutes. LC#P96AA
  • U.S. 101 (17.7/19.4) – Bridge work is scheduled between Hooker Creek Road and 0.3 miles south of Dimmick Road Undercrossing from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Expect lane closures and minor traffic slowdowns. LC#M101QA
  • U.S. 101 (19.4) – Drainage work is scheduled at the northbound truck scales. Shoulder closures are in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101DE
  • U.S. 101 (34.8/35.1) – Drainage work is scheduled 1.5 miles north of Weott at the Federation Grove Separation on August 15. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101DE
  • U.S. 101 (37.6/39.2) – Drainage work continues between the Englewood Park Undercrossing and High Rock Road Undercrossing. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101DE
  • U.S. 101 (39.7/43) – Striping operations are scheduled between Redcrest and Bear Creek Bridge. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101GD
  • U.S. 101 (53.8) – Utility work is scheduled at the Eel River Bridge. A northbound lane closure is in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101YC
  • U.S. 101 (61.5) – Permit work is scheduled southbound near the Main Street Fortuna interchange from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26. Expect minor slowdowns. LC#P101HA
  • U.S. 101 (62.2/64.3) – Tree work is scheduled northbound between Palmer Blvd and Singley Rd in Fortuna from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26. Expect minor slowdowns. LC#X101SA
  • U.S. 101 (64.3) – Tree work is scheduled northbound near the Singley Rd interchange from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27. Travelers should use an alternate ramp. LC#X101SA
  • U.S. 101 (74.7/76.1) – Construction north of the Herrick interchange will continue. Expect slowdowns due to lane and periodic driveway closures. LC#C101CC
  • U.S. 101 (77.9/79.6) – Nighttime striping operations are scheduled in Eureka between Commercial Street and V Street. Work is scheduled from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101BD
  • U.S. 101 (78/79.4) – Nighttime striping operations are scheduled in Eureka between Commercial Street and V Street through Friday, August 22. Work is scheduled from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101BD
  • U.S. 101 (79.7/80.5) – Project work near the Target entrance in Eureka is scheduled nightly through the week, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. though Friday, August 15. A southbound lane closure may cause slowdowns. LC#C101AD
  • U.S. 101 (78.5) – Permit work is scheduled northbound near F St from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. from August 26-28. Expect minor slowdowns. LC#P101HA
  • U.S. 101 (82.7) – Construction at Indianola Cutoff and Bracut will continue. Expect lane closures and possible slowdowns. LC#C101FD
  • U.S. 101 (90.1) – Nighttime utility work is scheduled on the northbound Central Ave off-ramp from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Expect a full ramp closure. Use an alternate ramp. LC#C101FB
  • U.S. 101 (106.1/108.2) – Drainage work is scheduled northbound near Big Lagoon Park Road. Expect minor slowdowns. LC#C101TA
  • U.S 101 (120.3/121.1) – Utility work is scheduled between Shoreline Fuel Mart and the Redwood Creek Bridge from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Lane and shoulder closures will be in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101XC
  • U.S. 101 (125.5/131.8) – Pavement work is schedule between 0.75 mi north of the Prairie Creek Fish Hatchery and 675 ft south of the Caltrans maintenance yard. Expect lane closures and slowdowns. LC#C101PD
  • Route 169 (19.7/20.8) – Drainage work is scheduled near Notchko Village Road. Expect one-way traffic control weehdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 5-minute delays. LC#C169FA
  • Route 200 (0.1/2.7) – Nighttime utility work is scheduled between Central Ave and the Route 200/299 separation from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#C200AA
  • Route 254 (3.1/4.2) – Emergency work north of Phillipsville will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should expect 5-minute delays. LC#C254JA
  • Route 254 (3.9/4.2) – Permit work is scheduled near Fish Creek Road on Monday, August 25 and Wednesday, August 27 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P254CA
  • Route 254 (18.8) – Slide removal work is ongoing just north of Weott. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should expect 5-minute delays. LC#C254AA
  • Route 254 (24) – Drainage work is ongoing about 0.3 miles south of Englewood Industrial Park. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C254LA
  • Route 254 (40.9/44.5) – Permit work is scheduled between Patrick Dean Brinnon Memorial Grove and Pepperwood on Friday, August 22. Work is planned from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P254CA
  • Route 255 (0/0.1) – Nighttime striping operations are scheduled near U.S. 101 in Eureka from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. August 24-26. Expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C255BA
  • Route 299 (1.8) – Nighttime utility work is scheduled near the Route 200/North Bank Rd separation from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. from August 26-29. The westbound off-ramp will be fully closed. Use an alternate ramp. LC#C299UA
  • Route 299 (24.9/25.9) – Emergency work is scheduled east of Chezem Road on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Expect one-way traffic control and 10-minute delays. LC#C299GA
  • Route 299 (29.6/30.6) – Nighttime drainage work is scheduled near Cedar Creek Road from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 27 and 28. Expect one-way traffic control and up to 10-minute delays. LC#C299QA
  • Route 299 (32.9/33.1) – Construction is scheduled near the East Fork Willow Creek Bridge. Expect one-way traffic control weekdays from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 10-minute delays. LC#C299LA
  • Route 299 (36.2/37.8) – Permit work is scheduled near the Willow Creek Bridge from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on August 22. Expect one-way traffic and up to 10-minute delays. LC#P299BA

Lake County

  • Route 29 (14.8) – Utility work will occur at Hofacker Lane on Thursday, August 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P29BA
  • Route 29 (23.6/24.9) – Road work from east of Diener Drive to west of DNA Ridge Rock will occur on Sunday, August 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C29OA
  • Route 29 (23.6/32.5) – Paving work at various locations from Diener Drive to north of Bottle Rock will occur on Thursday, August 21. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C29OA
  • Route 29 (24.9/26.2) – Paving work west of Lower Lake near DNA Ridge Rock will occur on on Monday and Tuesday, August 25-26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C29OA
  • Route 29 (32.3/33) – Road work will occur from Bottle Rock Road to Cole Creek Road on Wednesday and Thursday, August 27-28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C29OA
  • Route 175 (.1/1.5) – Paving work east of the Lake County line continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect and motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C175EA
  • Route 175 (7.8/8.1) – Electrical work from east of Dixon Drive to Jct Route 29 will occur on Thursday, August 21. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C175EA

Mendocino County

  • Route 1 (6.5/6.7) – Road work north of Anchor Bay near Gypsy Flat Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C1SA
  • Route 1 (9.3/9.5) – Road work south of Iversen Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C1SA
  • Route 1 (31.1/31.6) – Bridge work at the Elk Creek Bridge 10-120 continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C1WA
  • Route 1 (31.3/34.8) – Caltrans has granted an encroachment permit for the Elk Great Day Parade from the Elk Creek Bridge 10-120 to the Greenwood Community Center on Saturday, August 23. Lane closures will be in effect from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and motorists should use an alternate route. LC#P1DA
  • Route 1 (34.2)  Utility work north of the Elk Creek Post Office will occur on Friday, August 22. Lane closures will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#P1BA
  • Route 1 (42.9/44.9) – Paving work from south of Pacific Reefs Road to north of Albion Little River Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect and motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C1EB
  • Route 1 (51.4/52.1) – Bridge work north of Mendocino at the Jack Peters Creek Bridge 01-43484 from Lansing Street to south of Road 500D. One-way traffic control will be in effect and motorists should expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#C1VA
  • Route 1 (67/69.2) – Tree work will occur at various locations near Simpson Road on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 26-27. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P1BA
  • Route 1 (75.9/76.2) – Emergency work south of Westport from the Blues Beach Trailhead to the Overlook will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 30-minute delays. LC#C1TA
  • Route 1 (82/82.2) – Culvert work at the Portal Rock Vista Point will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C1CB

  • Route 20 (14.3) – Utility work east of Three Chop Road will occur on Saturday, August 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C20AA
  • U.S. 101 (20.7) – Bridge work south of Ukiah at the Robinson Overcrossing 10-86 will continue. Surface street closures to the bridge will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and motorists should use an alternative route. LC#C101YB
  • U.S. 101 (21.5) – Bridge work at the Route 253/101 Separation 10-186 will begin on Monday, August 25. Surface street closures to the bridge will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and motorists should use an alternative route. LC#C101YB
  • U.S. 101 (30.8) – Bridge work at the Route 101/20 Separation 10-205 will begin on Thursday, August 21. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#C101YB

  • Route 128 (48.4/50.5) – Tree work near Mountain House Road will occur on Monday and Tuesday, August 25-26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P128BA
  • Route 162 (7.9/8.4) – Bridge work at the Eel River Bridge 10-236 continues. Lane closures will be in effect and motorists should expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#C162HA
  • Route 162 (10/11.5) – Emergency work at the Rodeo Creek Bridge 10-237 continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect and motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C162IA
  • Route 253 (5.4/7) – Culvert work from Page Road to Bell Valley will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C253EA
  • Route 253 (14.2/15) – Culvert work near Robinson Creek Road will occur on Thursday, August 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C253EA
