>”The city of Eureka realizes that this disruption is an inconvenience, but maintaining the cities streets and sidewalks is vital to the health and safety of our residents.”
Hmmm… Somehow… it looks like the Cooper gulch area of 14th st is an ‘exception’ ???
No sidewalks. People routed out into the traffic lanes.
Meanwhile, a few blocks south of there in the areas behind Eur High, some streets get a nice resurfacing, seemingly, every few years while adjacent streets have redwood root speed bumps that high center a small car, (I have the scraped under carriage to prove it) despite the neighborhood’s squeaky wheels . . . and bushings and tie rods. Don’t get me wrong, I like some of the natural speed bumps, but others should be given names, elevation signs and winter conditions warnings.
14th street past Eur High football and baseball field? I only take that stretch by accident nowadays. Is there a completion date?
