Fortuna Police Department’s ‘Citizen RIMS Platform Has Been Updated for Better Community Engagement’
This is a press release from the Fortuna Police Department:
The updated Citizen RIMS platform, powered by Sun Ridge Systems, provides the community with a more user-friendly interface and expanded access to critical public safety data. Since 2015, the department has shared information through Citizen RIMS. The newly enhanced platform offers even more tools for transparency and community engagement. A key addition is the sharing of Stop Data (in compliance with the Racial and Identity Profiling Act of 2015). This new feature provides detailed statistics on citizen contacts, helping to promote accountability, transparency, and fairness in law enforcement practices.
In addition to stop data, the updated platform offers a wide range of features designed to keep the community informed and engaged. Residents can explore live and historical incident mapping, allowing them to visualize real-time and past incidents, gaining insights into local crime patterns. Crime statistics are presented in a user-friendly format, complete with graphs that make it easy to understand trends in public safety. The platform also makes it simple to view daily media bulletins, reported stolen vehicles and missing persons, and access information on agency arrests. Furthermore, the system provides convenient tools for submitting online vacation house check requests. Residents can also register their security cameras, allowing law enforcement to better respond to incidents and protect the community.
Those who have used the platform prior to the update please be advised that the website address has been changed.

Quit wasting taxpayer money!
Listen fortuna, you couldn’t catch jack shit. And I know because I gave you the opportunity. Couldn’t pay attention for five minutes. You could care less about the community! THATS A FACT
And I don’t like being told that fortuna is to broke to send out evidence to a state lab, when you spent 4 million of our tax money on your stupid town. And you don’t have the money to do a investigation? F##k you.
But hey at least they have a new “Friendly city” sign and flowers on the corners!!
Sign should read “Criminals welcome!! Tax payers, go fuck yourselves”
Does this mean Detective Richardson will actually investigate crimes?
Asking for a friend.
Not familiar with him. Usually I think they actually do a good job. But in my case it was covid quarantine still , Nov 2022. Holidays, me and fortuna need a do over. I’m mad for getting ignored . It’s to important!
WTFriggen?! Use an acronym you don’t spell out even one place in the entire article, go to jail!
