Klamath and Six Rivers National Forests Issue Emergency Closure Due to Boise Fire

Due to activity on the Boise Fire, the Klamath National Forest and Six Rivers National Forest have issued a joint emergency closure order. This order is effective from August 16, 2024, through September 15, 2024.Boise Fire at Sunset. [Photo from the Alert California network]
To provide for public safety during the ongoing Boise Fire the following acts are prohibited:
- Going into or being upon National Forest System lands within the Boise Fire Closure Area.
- Being on any National Forest System road within the Boise Fire Closure Area.
- Being on any National Forest System trail within the Boise Fire Closure Area.
- Entering or using High Point Trailhead on the Klamath National Forest; and
- Entering or using Le Perron Flat Dispersed Camping Area, Salmon Summit Trail Head, Big Rock River Access, and Nordheimer Campground on the Six Rivers National Forest.

incident-information/casrf- 2024-boise-fire. Forest officials want to remind visitors that fire restrictions are in effect. Campfires and stove fires are restricted to those developed areas listed in the Exhibit A of the Forest Order located at https://www.fs.usda.gov/
