Changes to Operating Hours for Klamath National Forest Visitor Center Begin Today

Beginning March 4, 2024, the visitor center at the Klamath National Forest’s supervisor’s office in Yreka, CA, will be open only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM to answer questions, purchase maps or passes, and to obtain wood permits.
“We sincerely apologize to our visitors and communities for the change in operating hours,” states Brad Turberville, Acting Forest Supervisor. “We are exploring alternative methods of staffing our front desk and hope to be fully open by summer.”
Staff will be responding to phone inquiries and emails during the weekdays. Visitors may call (530) 842-6131 or email [email protected] for information and answers to their questions.
