Pickup Partially Submerged in Big Lagoon, Ambulance En Route
Around 1:35 p.m. on December 4, first responders were dispatched to the north end of Big Lagoon for the report of a vehicle in the water on the northbound side of Highway 101.
At first, motorists that stopped to aid the occupants of the submerged vehicle had blocked the northbound lane temporarily before clearing the roadway.
Upon arrival at the scene, the incident commander informed emergency dispatch that three patients were involved in the collision though their injuries appeared non-life threatening. An ambulance is en route to the location.
The CHP Traffic Incident Information page states that Buddy’s Towing has been requested to remove a partially submerged red pickup from the lagoon, approximately 75 feet from the roadway.
Caltrans is on scene. Traffic appears to be moving slowly in the area, please use caution.
Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.
