[UPDATE] 101 Mostly Blocked After Two Vehicle Crash Near Dean Creek North of Garberville

Traffic CollisionAt approximately 6:30 p.m., two vehicles collided on Hwy 101 near the Dean Creek exit north of Garberville, according to the scanner and the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page. One northbound lane is currently open as of 7:05 a.m. but traffic is backing up in both directions.

One vehicle was a Ford truck towing a 15 foot utility trailer carrying a backhoe.

According to the CHP page, there is firewood scattered all over Hwy 101.

An ambulance was requested.

UPDATE: Caltrans QuickMap shows traffic is mostly moving well through the area.
