[UPDATE 7:07 Wednesday: Located!] Missing Hayfork Man’s Vehicle Last Seen in Redding

Press release from the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department:

On Monday, July 31, 2023 at approximately 12:50 PM, Francis Vess left the area of Hayfork, intending to visit a family member who had been at a hospital in the area of Redding, CA. When Vess never arrived at the hospital, family contacted various agencies that same day regarding an overdue motorist.

On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, Vess was reported missing to the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office.

Vess had been travelling alone in a 2015 white Toyota Prius, California License Plate: 7HSB828 and the last known location of Vess’ vehicle had been on Eureka Way in Redding, just prior to 3:00 PM on July 31, 2023.

If anyone sees Vess or his vehicle, please contact your local Law Enforcement agency.

Age: 76 years of age
Height: 5’7” tall
Weight: 145 lbs.

Hair: Gray

UPDATE 7:07 Wednesday: According to an update this morning from the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department, “On Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at approximately 9:00 pm, Francis Vess a previously reported missing person, was found in the Redding area. He was in good health and reunited with his family.”
