Robin Newan: A Loving Husband, Father, & Grandpa

Robin Newman

Robin Newman was born on February 4, 1951 in Hayward California. He graduated from Ferndale High in 1969.

Robin was a loving husband to Laurie Mackey Newman for 47 years. He cherished his children; Sarah, Rhett, Jim and Shelly. He adored his grandsons Corbin and Jace.

He was a hard worker and a valued employee. He was a millwright for many years and ended his career as a Geo Technician with Caltrans.

When Robin wasn’t gardening, he could be seen driving his 1976 Jeep Nelle Bell.

He took great pride in his 31 years of service to the Fortuna Fire District.

We will be forever grateful to so many for the love and support during this time. A special thanks to his Fortuna Fire Family and the amazing staff at St. Joseph’s ICU.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 5 at 1:00 at the Fortuna Fire Department.
