Good luck to them.
Internet radio is a misnomer. Radio literally means waves radiating through the air.
What do you think WIFI is? Magic?
Damn Ernie, bikini in a pinch today?
Sure, mine is a little box with wires going in and 2 wands coming out of it.
Hang in there Ernie!
Oh brother, lol
Yes. Success to Humboldt Hot Air!
And. PLEASE BIZ COMMUNITY….. DO NOT BECOME A KHSU UNDERWRITER! They are soliciting now to take money from the community from which they stole the community* radio station.
DO NOT FORGET.
DO NOT REWARD THEIR DISREGARD FOR OUR COMMUNITY!
( * – Yes HSU held the license. But it was the community, mostly through volunteer labor, that spent decades building what was the best radio station on the NorthCoast!).
Viva Humboldt Hot Air!!!
Is Humboldt hot air somehow an offshoot of the old khsu dj community? Or are you just stoked on more independent radio options?
Either way, we have amazing radio up here. Best of luck to these folks
Yes, a few of the old programmers from the pre-overthrow KHSU are at Humboldt Hot Air (HHA). Yet it’s truly it’s own creation. And a fine one at that.
PLEASE SUPPORT HHA! Go to this event. And LISTEN!!
What radio head said!
I’m thinking of writing to the new underwriters (I’ve heard two so far) and explaining that there is still such bad feeling about how the station was dismantled by the management that it’s better, for their own sake, not to be associated with the current station.
Great! And consider telling them that some people will avoid their businesses as we consider them COLLABORATORS with “all of us at KHSU” (my blood boils every time I hear that) who are complicit with the loss of quality, north-county community radio.
KHSU, as it exists today, does not deserve $1 more of my, or anyone else’s, money. HSU maliciously sabotaged its home-grown community radio station, which will not be forgotten, nor forgiven.
HHA deserves both recognition and financial support for carrying on the tradition of real community radio in northern Humboldt.
Absolutely! Agreed!!
