Eddy Alexander Hires Dan Pambianco as Marketing Content Manager, Expands Eureka Office
This is a press release from Eddy Alexander:
Eddy Alexander announced today that it is expanding its Humboldt County offices in Eureka to better support its rapidly expanding portfolio of clients in Northern California. The firm has hired Dan Pambianco, a Eureka-based marketing and content specialist to lead content marketing for projects across the organization’s six industry client portfolios. This announcement comes on the heels of several large awards including state-wide recognition by Visit California for best public relations campaign (grand opening of Eureka’s Redwood Sky Walk), runner-up status for best destination brand in California (city of Eureka), and a PRSA Award of Excellence for Most Effective Diversity Equity, and Inclusion Campaign in the nation.
Dan Pambianco officially joined the team on April 27 and brings more than 30 years of experience in content creation, communications, journalism, photography, and more. Dan has called the redwood coast home for 33 years and has a deep understanding and love for the region.
After serving as an editor at several newspapers early in his career, Dan worked in multiple communications roles at Cal Poly Humboldt. For 22 years he served as Assistant Athletic
Director for Media Relations, with responsibilities that included creative writing, photography, web design, social media content, and event management. Dan also worked in the Cal Poly Humboldt’s Department of Marketing and Communications, providing content for the internal newsletter, university website, and Humboldt Magazine. He also served as a lecturer in the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication.
Originally from Spring Valley, IL, Dan holds a bachelor’s degree from Utah State University. He has also served as a media director and consultant for the United States Olympic Track & Field trials, and as photography coordinator for multiple USA Track & Field trials.
“We are all so pleased to welcome Dan Pambianco to Eddy Alexander,” President and Chief Strategist Jennifer Eddy said. “His experience in higher education, economic development, professional services, and journalism all align nicely with Eddy Alexander’s areas of specialty, and his extensive local experience will be valuable as we continue to invest in and expand our presence along California’s beautiful North Coast. His additional skills with photography and videography help us evolve and expand our storytelling capabilities which we know are absolutely critical to breaking through for our clients in today’s over-saturated media environment.”
Dan will be working closely with the Eddy Alexander community marketing lead in Eureka and with Sherry Wallace, Eddy Alexander’s national public relations lead. He will work on both northern California accounts, as well as support Eddy Alexander’s clients across the country.
“Joining this team is truly a privilege,” Pambianco said. “I’ve watched what this firm has done since they arrived in the area and I’m excited to join the ranks and to work with so many diverse leaders and influencers across our region to champion smart growth, community advancement, and to promote the wonderful area we call home. It’s all really exciting.”

I give him 3-6 months before they figure out they screwed up!
Apparently they didn’t get any “referrals” (lack of) from anyone at HSU athletic department. Big L
I think the anger management classes helped tremendously!
I don’t understand why this is “news”; i.e., entitled to free publicity in any news media, including RHBB. This reads like an ad to me. It should be paid content only. If I own a business — can I submit an article of this length and have it posted here for free?
I’ve got a smartphone that takes pictures and videos – maybe I can get a job there too!
?
This is exactly what it is, paid content, probably used to shift the focus, so paid ad but even worse, manipulation.
It’s not paid.
How is that news? Can I take a look at all of their books/contracts/balance sheet? What is there mission statement and what type business are they registered as? What was there effective tax rate last year and what is it running this year? How many employees do they employ? What do they givebback to this community? This state? This government ? This world?
Are they givers or takers? I know you can’t answer these Kym, it’s not your business, but next time you get a request to run an “article” from Eddy, forward him the questions above. If the answers are truthful and he’s not purely out for $ personal gain, then run his ad as an article for free I guess…..but he swindled you, that was a publicity ad at best, at worst, some sort of scheme designed to make someone else worse off than if they never ran there “article” at all.
Justin, I run a lot of press releases. And businesses, as long as they don’t wear out their welcome or blatantly lay out an ad with prices, etc, can send me info on anything from new employees, awards the business has gotten, or anything that my readers will find vaguely interesting, and I’ll post it.
