ADDITIONAL UPDATES

Slow the Spread: Get Vaccinated and Boosted for COVID-19

The risk for COVID-19 exposure and infection continues as a number of Californians remain unvaccinated and unboosted.

Real-world evidence continues to show that the vaccine is preventing severe illness, hospitalization, and death. Public health officials urge Californians to get vaccinated and boosted as soon as possible.

It is recommended that every vaccinated person 12 years or older should get a booster as long as they received their second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least five months ago or they received their Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least two months ago.

Vaccination appointments can be made by visiting myturn.ca.gov or calling 1-833-422-4255. The consent of a parent or legal guardian may be needed for those under age 18 to receive a vaccination. Visit Vaccinate All 58 to learn more about the safe and effective vaccines available for all Californians 5+.

Your Actions Save Lives

Protect yourself, family, friends and your community by following these prevention measures:

  • Sign-Up for COVID-19 Policy Alerts: COVID-19 Policy Alerts provide up-to-date information regarding CDPH COVID-19 guidance and policy, including changes to orders, mandatory guidance and more. Registrants will receive prompt email alerts to updated guidance and policy available on our website as well as accompanying translations. Sign-up for the COVID-19 Policy Alerts emails today.
  • Wear A Mask When Recommended or Required: Under California’s mask guidance, masks are strongly recommended for all individuals in most indoor settings. Masks are required for everyone in high transmission settings like emergency shelters, health care settings, correctional facilities, homeless shelters and long-term care facilities. Local jurisdictions may have additional requirements beyond the state requirements based on local conditions.
  • Upgrade Your Mask: Good fit and filtration continue to be the best way to get the most out of your mask. The best masks for preventing COVID-19 include the N95, KN95 and KF94. If you don’t have access to one of these masks, wear a surgical mask or a surgical mask with a cloth mask on top. If you choose a fabric mask, opt for one with three or more cloth layers. No matter what kind of mask you wear, check the fit by avoiding gaps above the nose or on the sides.

  • Isolation and Quarantine Guidance: CDPH updated its Isolation and Quarantine Guidance, as of April 6, 2022. CDPH no longer recommends quarantine for individuals who are exposed to COVID-19 and have no symptoms. Additionally, CDPH added recommendations for workers in certain high-risk settings (healthcare settings, long-term care settings and shelters, among others).

  • My Vaccine Record is an easy way to show vaccination status at venues or businesses that require proof of vaccination. Visit myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov today to get your vaccine record.

  • Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Travel Tips: Delay travel (both domestic and international) until you are fully vaccinated. See the CDC’s full travel guidance. If you decide to travel, the state’s travel advisory recommends that all travelers arriving in California test for COVID-19 within three to five days after arrival, regardless of their vaccination status.
  • Add Your Phone to the Fight: Sign up for COVID-19 exposure notifications from CA Notify. Also, individuals who test positive for COVID-19 – including those who test at home – are able to alert others of a potential exposure more quickly and conveniently. Individuals can now initiate the notification process as soon as they are aware of their positive test result. For more information, please visit the “Notify Others” page on CA Notify.
  • Answer the call or text if a contact tracer from the CA COVID Team or your local health department tries to connect.
  • Check with your local health department about local conditions. Local health jurisdictions can implement protocols that are stricter than state guidance.

Tracking COVID-19 in California

Health Care Workers

  • As of May 12, local health departments have reported 157,961 confirmed positive cases in health care workers and 579 deaths statewide.

Testing Turnaround Time

  • The testing turnaround time dashboard reports how long California patients are waiting for COVID-19 test results. During the week of May 1 to May 7, the average time patients waited for test results was 0.8 day. During this same time period, 91% of patients received test results in one day and 98% received them within two days.

Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C)

  • As of May 12, 2022, there have been 976 cases of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) reported statewide. MIS-C is a rare inflammatory condition associated with COVID-19 that can damage multiple organ systems. MIS-C can require hospitalization and be life threatening.

WASHINGTON, May 12 (Reuters) – President Joe Biden on Thursday commemorated the COVID-19 deaths of 1 million people in the United States, marking what he called “a tragic milestone” and urging Americans to “remain vigilant” during the ongoing pandemic.

Joe Biden did that!

Joe Biden can’t find his a$$ with both hands on a good day, but sure can sputter a bunch of mistruths…

? maybe they created the Bureau of Misinformation to monitor that old, grifting fool? Or maybe to write Democrats’ speeches?

“Joe looks at his watch while they’re doing a eulogy for one of the marines he got killed in Kabul and thinks to himself, Almost time for ice cream and a nap. Maybe Jill will let me sniff some kid’s hair this afternoon…”

Lowest among vaccinated individuals, maybe…

Or the same for vaccinated, or boosted, it makes no difference…

The science is only as good as the data. Who was recording the data?? The doctors? I have so many questions. Did they do autopsy post mortem? With covid or from? I think we all know now that we don’t have accurate numbers. When you want to believe in something it’s very easy to convince yourself. Especially if your TV is telling you. ?

…”Nationally it’s nearly 319,000, according a new estimate.”

300k ?

Oh wow. ….and that’s just guesswork.

Ok. Think for a minute.

Science has established the link between co morbid conditions and an inflammatory body state due to being a amorphous flesh mountain, to the risk of serious covid 19 disease, and poor outcome ie: death . That’s fucking obvious. Ask the nurses. It was the FAT and diabetic suffering and croaking in the ICUs.

Ok, the stat that emerged from that disaster is that fully 80% of ALL hospitalizations and eventual deaths were in persons who were obese ,overweight and maintaining 2 or more lifestyle induced chronic disorders like type 2 diabetes.

SO,
Even if we slash that stat by 50%, (for the first wave of XXXL’s that were caught off guard by the pandemic ,) the lives that could have been saved by immediately implementing moderate living and dropping the excess adipose tissue( along with dropping the notion that obesity and sedentary living is anything positive) is 400k lives !!!

80k more lives saved by walking and skipping the KFC and liquor than the lives maybe saved by the guesstimate vax propaganda.

And no side effects!

But, being unfat and fit doesn’t create profits for Pfizer. And utilizing healing and preventative life choices, and natural remedies can’t be owned, and trademarked.

When will people wake up.

And now, in other news, an 18 year old gunman was taken into custody after shooting as many as 13 people in a grocery store in Buffalo New York. USA Todayis already espousing this as a “racially motivated hate crime” because “most of the victims are black”.

USA Today goes on to say the shooter was from New York, 18, white and shot people with an “assault-style weapon”. That is a lie. New York State has a ban on assault weapons. How could an 18 year old obtain an assault weapon in New York State if they are banned? Where is the Bureau of Misinformation when these lies are printed in left-leaning rags?

You have a nice day too, Rimme. Actual facts come out overnight and that was my point yesterday when USA Today was calling it “racially motivated” when none of the other news sources were. It looks like Peyton Gendron is indeed an extremist and a racist this morning.

What does that have to do with the assault rifle the shooter allegedly used but impossible to have happened because assault weapons are banned in New York State?

I wonder why in the Milwaukee shootings only the ages of the injured and arrested are reported by WTMJ-TV Milwaukee but not their names or their race? That was the most recent report from yesterday’s Milwaukee shootings I could find.

Yesterday, multiple news sources cited racist motivation of the shooter. He wasn’t just an extremist and racist “this morning” but prior to and leading up to mass murder.

Looks like racist undertones and messaging continue to have a big effect, on especially the easily influenced young white males. I’m reminded of the 2017 Unite The Right March in Virginia.

Sad are the racist and extremist mentors, the folk infecting the young. The result being immense loss, grief, and hardship for the family and friends of the real victims, in this case those shot and killed while shopping. The killer, he was a different kind of victim, of those who cook up and/or spread garbage like ‘great’ and ‘white replacement theory’.

I agree with you that the spread of extremism and racism is unnecessary and a chronic problem. But my point is that the MSM continues to propagandize by always pointing out a white killer, regardless of whether he/she/they were racist and then sensationalize it endlessly for days at a time. But when a shooter is not white, the story quickly fades away. It’s almost like MSM is perpetuating racism. Shouldn’t the news just be something like this? “In todays news some idiot shot people in a grocery store in Buffalo. Earlier, several morons shot multiple people in several incidents in Milwaukee.”

The shooter that shot up the subway in New York was black and had posted racist screeds on social media and one reporter on air was irritated that he wasn’t white. That story quickly faded away.

Left, right or centrist, why are we allowing this propaganda that white people must be a racist when they shoot something up and the story is perpetuated and aggrandized but if a shooter is a POC, the story is buried?

Rimme
Guest

Pfft. I think you’re being, to put it mildly, rather coy.

But let’s spell out just the basics:
The shooter was blatantly racist (documented words online), wore militant garb, self-film live-streamed the murders, the bulk of his victims (and a very high number) are POC, and all apparently being strangers to the shooter.

Any two of the above together would be national news, and the number of dead as a stand-alone would be national news. This guy went multiples of asshole, a calculated nutter all the way.

All that you said is true, but he was a Left Wing Authoritarian, a Left Wing Populist and was immersed in Communism in his high school years. This ascribed to my theory that Democrats are inherently racist (slaveholders and founders of the KKK) and only call others racist to create a facade to deflect from their racism. Democrats rounded up blacks and forced them into inner city ghettos under the guise of “civil rights” and encouraged blacks to kill their unborn children. Democrats have committed large scale genocide over the last 50 years that make Pol Pot, Fidel Castro, Josef Stalin and Adolf Hitler look like amateurs. All under the guise of “benevolence and kindness” to African Americans.

I squint both eyes and at least understand how you come to your position, albeit somewhat of an leap — your assertion the racist murderer in question self-defines as “Democrat”. I do however now wonder what the ratio is, of right- to left-wing militant racists shore-to-shore. What, 10 to 1, 50 to 1, 100 to 1, hmm ?. Let’s just say I’d be confident where to place my bet with bookies, and richly so.

I just read his entire manifesto. Peyton Gendron identifies himself as a Left Wing Authoritarian and a Populist. Was involved with and studied communism in high school. None of the MSM had that info in their stories.

His screed confirms what I have known for some time: racists exist and very well may be prevalent among the Left. Read about Senator Theodore Bilbo.
LJB was a notorious racist. Democrats just conceded that blacks were going to be able to vote and their response was to politically segregate blacks in inner city ghettos and encouraged blacks to kill their children through abortion. All under the guise of “Civil Rights”.

You could have saved a lot of words and just said: no, I cannot admit when I’m wrong.

I like how now, suddenly the issue was “local” law enforcement rather than the real issue, which was the media in general. The bottom line is that everyone knows the media downplays crime when the perps are black and accentuates it when they are white. It’s everywhere and it’s obvious. Rachel Maddow went on for 35 minutes last night about white supremacy before I turned it off. It’s sickening. The left’s repulsive, insatiable appetite to make every issue in life about skin color is a self-fulfilling prophecy that has bitterly divided a once healing country…..AGAIN! Nice job. You just did it, claiming that I “spew racism at LEAST once a month”. Let’s see some examples since there are so many………Crickets guaranteed!

Very little, if any reports on the Laguna Woods shooting, in which a Chinese “immigrant” traveled from Las Vegas to a Taiwanese Church, chained the doors shut, glued locks and opened fire.

However, there was this from Eric Swalwell, D-CA:

“Rep. Eric Swalwell
@RepSwalwell
Sorry
@housegop
that the parishioners hog-tied your boy.

See that blatant racism from a Democrat?

Yep, Big Brother is watching us and now we have the Ministry of Truth…err Bureau of Disinformation (or whatever Josef Stalin… err Josef Biden is calling it) to reinforce our… err the government’s point of view! I had searched stories on Buffalo shooting and Peyton Gerndon, so perhaps that may be contributing to aggregate content on my phone. However I had searched for Laguna Woods and Milwaukee shootings, too, and those stories are not showing up on aggregate.

Animal stories and sourdough pieces sound much more tranquil,

BFD, no one said they don’t report it at all. But they report on the Buffalo shooter endlessly because a white racist was responsible. Rachel Maddow, the number #1 show on MSNBC talked about it for over half the show, probably for more than one night! I’m sure CNN and your “trusted” news sources did the same. NOT the same coverage on the racist subway scumbag or the racist piece of shit in Waukesha who ran over grandmas and little children in a Christmas parade.

MOST news organizations have heavily covered the Buffalo story (still are) and heavily downplayed the MULTIPLE black racist stories in recent months. Posting a link showing headlines, that other stories are covered too, does not change that FACT that you deny. It is disingenuous and proves nothing. Me pointing that out is what makes you angry and wanting to delete me. You can’t admit you’re wrong.

Still waiting on examples of my multiple racist comments “at least once a month.

84.1% of population vaccinated

(5+ with at least one dose)

77% of the total population in California are at least partially vaxxed.
