*** Monument Fire ***Burnt Ranch Reduced to an Evacuation Warning08/23/2021 at 3:00 pmThe areas along SR 299 west of Big Mountain Road thru Cedar Flat and Burnt Ranch to SR 299 near Ammon Road. This includes the first 8 miles up Underwood Mountain Road south of SR 299, Friedrich Road, School House Road, Stage Coach Drive, Iris Lane, Hennessey Road, Veterans Hall Road, and McConnaha Road.
The areas listed above that have been moved into an Evacuation Warning, will be open to residents only.A road closure will remain in effect on SR 299 at Ammon Road, and will be open to Residents and Emergency personnel only.Be aware the Shasta Trinity National Forest has closed all areas within its boundary, including National Forest Roads to Public use.The public needs to be aware there is still fire activity in these listed areas. Fire apparatus and crews will be observed in the area for several days or weeks. Fire activity can change rapidly and the public needs to be vigilant and be ready to move in case the Evacuation Status in the area changes.All other Evacuation Warnings and Orders remain in effect for the areas of Trinity Center/ Coffee Creek, Hayfork, Hawkins Bar, Denny, Weaverville and Douglas City.

EVACUATION ORDER: Immediate threat to life. This is a lawful order to leave now. The area is lawfully closed to public access.
EVACUATION WARNING: Potential threat to life and/or property. Those who require additional time to evacuate, and those with pets and livestock should leave now.
SHELTER IN PLACE: Go indoors. Shut and lock doors and windows. Prepare to self-sustain until further notice and/or contacted by emergency personnel for additional direction.
EVACUATION ORDER(S) LIFTED: The formal announcement of lifting evacuations in an area currently under evacuation.
HARD CLOSURE: Closed to all traffic except Fire and Law Enforcement.
SOFT CLOSURE: Closed to all traffic except Fire, Law Enforcement, and critical Incident resources (i.e. Utility, Caltrans, City/County roads etc. or those needed to repair or restore infrastructure).
RESIDENT ONLY CLOSURE: Soft closure with the additional allowance of residents and local government agencies assisting with response and recovery.
