Governor Newsom’s Recent Round of Stay-At-Home Orders Likely to Apply to the Emerald Triangle in the Coming Days

In today’s COVID-19 press conference, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced a new regional stay-at-home order based on each region’s current intensive care unit hospital capacity. Governor Newsom projected the Northern California region will have less than 15% ICU availability in the coming days, initiating the new stay-at-home orders.

The regional Stay-at-Home Order defines the Northern California region as Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, Trinity, and Mendocino County.

Every single county within the “Northern California” region is in the Purple Tier, meaning COVID-19 is considered “widespread” amongst their populations.

As defined on the state COVID-19 restrictions website, if and when the regional stay-at-home order takes effect in the Northern California region, the following sectors will close:

  • Indoor and outdoor playgrounds
  • Indoor recreational facilities=
  • Hair salons and barbershops
  • Personal care services
  • Museums, zoos, and aquariums
  • Movie theaters
  • Wineries
  • Bars, breweries, and distilleries
  • Family entertainment centers
  • Cardrooms and satellite wagering
  • Limited services
  • Live audience sports
  • Amusement parks

These sectors will have to implement additional modifications on top of the 100% masking and physical distancing requirements:

  • Outdoor recreational facilities: Allow outdoor operation only without any food, drink or alcohol sales. Additionally, overnight stays at campgrounds will not be permitted.
  • Retail: Allow indoor operation at 20% capacity with entrance metering and no eating or drinking in the stores. Additionally, special hours should be instituted for seniors and others with chronic conditions or compromised immune systems.
  • Shopping centers: Allow indoor operation at 20% capacity with entrance metering and no eating or drinking in the stores. Additionally, special hours should be instituted for seniors and others with chronic conditions or compromised immune systems.
  • Hotels and lodging: Allow to open for critical infrastructure support only.
  • Restaurants: Allow only for take-out, pick-up, or delivery.
  • Offices: Allow remote only except for critical infrastructure sectors where remote working is not possible.
  • Places of worship and political expression: Allow outdoor services only.
  • Entertainment production including professional sports: Allow operation without live audiences. Additionally, testing protocol and “bubbles” are highly encouraged.

The following sectors can remain open with the requirement of 100% masking and physical distancing is adhered to:

  • Critical infrastructure
  • Schools that are already open for in-person learning
  • Non-urgent medical and dental care
  • Child care and pre-K

In the face of the coming Regional Stay Home Order, Governor Newsom recommended California residents to visit parks, go to the beach, take dogs for walks, and engage in activities to alleviate the mental health strain of the stay home order.

Regarding counties unwilling to enforce this new round of Regional Stay-at-Home protocols, Governor Newsom said, “If you’re unwilling to enforce the rules … we’re happy to redirect those dollars to counties that feel differently.”

Perfect sense. The vid opened up a window to me after 20 years of voting, trying to gid rid of this type of politician, only to realize it is not even possible, because the money talks, and our vote walks… THEY decide who wins elections. “For example, many people make themselves easy to control by remaining dependent on governments during crisis events and emergencies; if you actually believe the government will protect you from any and all eventualities then why would you ever learn to protect and provide for yourself?

The infantization of a society makes citizens easy to dominate.”

It’s difficult to say if the consensus is towards infantization of those who never learned to be self sufficient or even brave enough to comphrehend their need to maintain a dependence on authority, at the expense of free will.

The constitution provides the government with the power and responsibility to “promote the general welfare.” That’s pretty broad and definately covers instituting quarentines. Its well tested in court and no different that an evacuation order for a natural disaster.

The US also has almost double the average number of fatalities due to medical error per capita compared to most comparable countries. Maybe we should start looking into Single-Player…

That is one of those things that has to be carefully examined. The US is different in many respects than any other country in the world for a lot of reasons, certainly much higher than a group of countries that are selected (ie cherry picked) for comparison- much higher immigration rates especially illegal ones, much higher rates of legal medical malpractice cases, much more violence, much more racial and ethnic diversity, burden of drug addiction, etc. For length of life (pre pandemic) or health care burdens comparisons, the freedom to act independently of government creates a different group of liabilities and advantages than such a study chooses to measure. Do some scrutiny of the nature of what is measured and how it’s measured before lauding single payer health care as the solution to everything.

A natural virus floating around -nobody is killing anybody, this is the earths natural respomse to overpopulation and destruction of its resources. These is no reason to be scared of death, turn around and face it, deal with death and look it in the eye. Why are u so frightened, only those who have dealt with the fact we are all going to die some day are the ones truly able to live fully in the now.

Get off the kool aid bro.

If everyone is dying why are hospitals empty? Why are peoe not drppping dead left and right? Where are the piles of bodies?

Why did the cdc stop reporting on flu and bronchitis casea? Why did they bump those numbers to 1.3% of the entire population of the USA when we noticed it?

This is the weakest pandemic ever.

The numbers are false. Stop watching tv and listening to mainstream news, the pandemic goes away.

Trump’s own CDC shows that Covid has beenbresponsible for roughly 10% of all deaths in the US for the last year.
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm
If you have different stats, it’s up to you to provide them. Virtue signiling is a completely useless term. You’re trying to “signal” your “virtue” by disregarding the Covid death toll, but you have no statistics to back up your vague claims of malfesence.

And yet the state is still begging for federal help. Hmm. Maybe a large income, but for sure an even larger spending problem. Kinda like the guy with a great income but he’s up to his ears in credit card debt, car loans, and a big mortgage – nothing left at the end of the month.

Spare us all the “5th largest economy” story we always hear. CA is in debt. It can’t spend less than it takes in. Just like Illinois and New York it can’t afford its lifestyle and was hoping all those other states that Californians love to bash will come to its rescue. Not this time….

I guess people are learning that, when you shut down private businesses, your tax base evaporates. Welcome to reality Mr. “5th biggest economy” lol.

That is a nonsensical statement. In fact pretty seriously wrong on every count. Being a foreign national is not a crime but being a foreign national here without having gone through immigration control is.

In the first place a misdemeanor IS a crime. Literally. Second it depends on how one became an illegal immigrant- section 1325 of the US Code does make avoiding border control a crimewith jail time chargeable.. Thirdly the people mentioned are already in jail for a non- immigration crime. Pretty much a crime upon crime condoning crime.

If that were true, community spread would not be under 10% of the tracing. Going to a public venue and getting infected is not likely to be documentable. Travel is more dangerous. Until the virus is widespread, it’s pretty much THE cause of infection while associating with the infected on a personal basis is responsible for most of the spread.

Instead of getting your shorts in a knot over the few people who object to wearing a mask while shopping, you should, if you were honest in wanting to be effective rather than just spewing, be super concerned about the out if area students at HSU or people hiring transient trimmers or traveling out of the area rather cheering on the destruction of a poor restaurant owner trying to earn a living.

Of course once you have victoriously screwed over the low hanging fruit of licensed business owners and community spread then becomes the leading cause of infections, you will have justified your outrage retroactively by creating ccommunity spread that wouldn’t have existed without your choice of targets from the start.

Now’s the time to make Humboldt as unappealing as possible in the media. People are going to increasingly leave crowded dead-end urbania for the peace and quiet we’re already losing. Our poor are poor, but we still have elbow room. Rural areas are doomed to take up a stink in all the ways cities do.

Right before the plague, gov. Newshit and his cronies announced California will increase the number of new ‘living units’ from 80,000 to 500,000 per year. Look at the new stacked and packed boxes they already built in Eureka, and along Sunset in Arcata. That’s your children’s future, forever.

There is hardly any evidence that most of the businesses and venues listed to be shut down was a source of any spread at all. Bars maybe but really? A 200 person football team can practice every day together but 20 people at church once a week is verboten? Must be they documented the deadly mass outbreak at the Guggenheim. This is not the fervently touted science as upheld by the panicked commenting here but waving political magic wands while directing the audience not to look to closely at the act on stage.

Newsom said that Trump’s vaccine is coming next week and he’s going to make sure rich and powerful people don’t cut in front of the line. Then he said he got a bridge to sell you

Chairman Newsome of the “CCP the California Communist Party” is at it again with his Chinese style draconian lock downs!!! Wake up people!!! We are being stripped of our Constitutional rights so fast by the time people see what they are really doing it will be too late to stop it. They are using the “Plandemic” to push in the Great Reset right under our noses! Hiel Gavin!!!

The great reset is the new Agenda 21, I see. How many failed QANON prophesies do you have to see to realise you’ve been duped?

Just as there are people who believe in conspiracies, there are those who use the existence of conspiracies to belittle every rational questioner. Those types are more dangerous in their fixations as they can only destroy compromise.

Cool. So Governor French Laundry likes ordering us around and threatening to take OUR money away? Yeah- I think he’s greasy as hell and has little to zero credibility. But he makes weed- growing an “essential business” because his friends are invested and he wants that tax money too! So ha ha…I guess that kinda works out for us up here….He’s a corporate tool. Hey- if you get any crap for any gathering of any kind just say y’all were discussing strains and grow strategies…

Governing is a tough job. States like North Dakota who let people socially distance at their own discretion are having terrible results. I support the governors attempt to right the ship.

The Governer of Massachusetts is a Republican. The main common factors of those states are high urbanization and location on the East Coast. The entire Eastern Seaboard is basically one big, uninterrupted sprawling megacity.

Better to die on your feet than live on your knees. Top four death rates per capita are blue states.

Strange, I dont see the year 2020 in your chart? Which, is kinda relevant to our current situation.

Seems like incomplete, if not inaccurate and misleading information.

It will be just that, unfortunately, an attempt.

Odd the states that are locking down and enforcing mask compliance seem to have more cases. States like Georgia and South Dakota were suppose have lost half of their populations by now now due to their lack of adherence to the CDC guidance. If locking yourself away makes you feel better no one will stop you. But if your locked away then what others are doing won’t affect you. There’s only 3 ways out of this. Get the vaccine become infected with covid or literally lock yourself away for the rest of your life.

Kym, this is pretty egregious. Not the statement itself, but rather the author’s inclusion of it in a completely unrelated context. The implication is obviously that JEWS are behind whatever idiotic conspiracy the author’s brain is fixated on.

This shit shouldn’t be allowed on any respectable website. I realize you are probably occupied elsewhere at the moment. But this should be removed and the user warned.

China got us good with their covid thing. Four years from now and China will be top of the heap. California already invested billions of calpers in the Chinese communist party businesses.

OOPS…..

Quote

By Alicia Victoria Lozano

LOS ANGELES — Despite the potential for a vaccine within weeks, distrust of the medical community by Black and Latino people, who have been disproportionately affected by Covid-19, remains high as elected leaders and public health professionals work to prioritize its distribution.

Fueled by a dark history of medical experimentation and unequal access to care, people in Black and Latino communities struggling with high Covid-19 rates are among those least likely to get vaccinated, health advocates say. Overcoming systemic racism and the collective trauma associated with it will be paramount as officials rush to distribute vaccines to hard-hit communities, they warn.

If what they say about spread being transmitted in large gatherings more than any other cause is true, those cultures that have refused to stop are going to be where there are the most cases. COVID is not racist. It hates all humanity and will infect anyone it can – the more the merrier. If every culture would take it seriously, COVID would not spike.

Moderna says the covid vaccine only imparts immunity for 3 months and then the federal government needs to pay them $100 each for new shots.
330 million Americans x 4 times/years @ $100 = $132 billion/yr sales
Pfizer claims they didn’t use Trump money to develop vaccine meaning they can raise prices after delivery of the first $1.5 billion already ordered.
