[UPDATE 4:24 p.m.: Hwy 36 Remains Open] Trinity County Sheriff’s Department Issues More Evacuations Orders for Forest Glen and Warnings for Post Mountain and Trinity Pines

The Trinity County Sheriff’s Office has increased the areas under evacuation orders and warnings.

Please note:

• An Evacuation Order means you should leave now and the area is closed to the public.
• An Evacuation Warning means the residents of the area should prepare to leave if ordered to do so.

Evacuation Order information from the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office issued at 3:20 p.m.:

Per the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office and Trinity County Office Of Emergency Services, the Forest Glen Area is now under an Evacuation Order. Increased fire activity in your area is imminent. The evacuation center will be located at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds in Ferndale. Please leave the area. Use caution as emergency vehicles assisting with evacuations, structure protection and fire suppression efforts will be on the roadways.

The Evacuation Point is at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds at 1250 5th St, Ferndale, CA 95536.

Evacuation Warning information from the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office issued at at 3:43 p.m.:

Per the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office and Trinity County Office Of Emergency Services, the Post Mountain, Trinity Pines area is now under an Evacuation Warning. Increased fire activity in your area is possible. People with medical conditions or livestock which need extra time to move, should leave now. The evacuation center will be located at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds in Ferndale. Please leave the area. Use caution as emergency vehicles assisting with evacuations, structure protection and fire suppression efforts will be on the roadways.
