‘Stay Strong’: Local Rapper, UnderRated, Releases a Pandemic Piece
During the Shelter-in-Place orders, musicians across the globe have posted pieces online in an attempt to capture this unique time for those of us stuck at home. Arcata rapper, Josh Leiderman, who used to be with the local hip hop group Potluck and now goes by the stage name UnderRated, released one of the newest pandemic pieces at noon today.
“My first single “It’ll Be Better Tomorrow” went viral and just recently hit 3 million views,” Leiderman told us. He’s hoping for a similar response to his latest music video.

Leiderman, who was born in Arcata and has lived in Humboldt his whole life, said he’s still based in his hometown. “[A]nd I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.”

ummm… i was excited for “Humboldt County High…” but damn that was like 10 plus years ago? I get it… its a cool message or whatever… song tho… Production and raps/flow could be a lot better. There are plenty of dudes who rap in Humboldt County tighter than this dude. That’s facts and im just being honest. ONEHUNNID
