Medical Emergency Believed to Precipitate Single-Vehicle Collision in Eureka

Around 8:35 a.m. on April 26, emergency dispatch requested City Ambulance and Humboldt Bay Fire respond to a single-vehicle collision on Buhne Street in Eureka.

According to scanner traffic, the collision near the intersection of O Street occurred due to the elder driver suffering a medical emergency.

Photojournalist Mark McKenna reports that the westbound lane of Buhne Street is closed between N & O streets. Please avoid the area if possible.
