Major Injury Crash on a ATV

A crash about 6:40 p.m. in the Conklin Creek area near Petrolia sent one man to the hospital by air ambulance.

According to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, a man on a 4-wheeler injured his neck in the crash. Petrolia Fire responded to the scene and helped guide other emergency personnel into the scene.

CHP reports the man received major injuries.

The picture is an old “stock ” picture of REACH copter that was taken by STAR. It’s used in a lot of articles that reference a medical helicopter. STAR and Petrolia Fire (the agency responding to this particular crash) are nowhere close to each other and STAR didn’t respond to this incident.
