Humboldt County residents are encouraged to participate in a virtual town hall meeting regarding the local response to COVID-19 on Monday, March 30, 2020 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The community can watch this town hall meeting live at:

So, is there anyone here, other than Libertarians that are on a certain cold spectrum, that still think health care for all is a bad idea? Just curious. To be clear- I mean health care for all with the option of buying private insurance for those who want to. Maybe with a tax break for doing so. I do NOT want to get into specifics- I don’t care right now. I mean just the idea of it.
Homeless people that have serious symptoms at this time and are not self-organised enough for medi-cal could tested. People with no medical insurance that can’t afford $199 for a test could be tested. No one would lose their property or savings because they can’t afford to pay for intensive care they’ve received. Not just for coronavirus, but for many other illnesses. The herd would be less likely to infect you with anything- maybe not now that don’t have enough tests, but in future pandemics.

And as to health care for all, it’s a great idea. Amazing. It should be done. But you can’t have the same Aholes that are running things now have any part in it. It would require restructuring from the ground floor up. What your asking for is the government to operate (at least on one level) efficiently and without fraud. Things they have never had to do.
