Gas Leak After Vehicle Hit Line Near Broadway

About 4:25 p.m., a vehicle struck a gas main by Don’s Rent-all. A leak reportedly occurred. But according to the scanner, employees managed to stop it. PG&E has been notified.

That’s what happens when you try to save a few bucks by not having those protective pipes filled with concrete extending up about 4 ft. When they’re that low you can’t see them over the hood when parking.

Most people ease forward until their tire bumps the cement parking curb, which in this case should also be moved forward.

NoBody, I agree with your comment 100%. Maybe also move them back away from the gas line a little bit, and paint the posts red.
