Make Art, Make a Book: Arcata Library Workshop Invites All Ages to Collaborate

Arcata Library invites the artists of all ages to a Collective Book Making Workshop with local artist and educator Marci Easterbrook on Saturday, May 2, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Arcata Library, 500 7^th St (behind City Hall) in Arcata. In this book making workshop, participants will write, draw, stamp, and collage responses to poems from Ada Limon’s collection, You Are Here. Hear a poem, then start creating a collaborative book that will tour local libraries before being displayed at Arcata Library. All supplies are provided. This event is part of the Big Read with Playhouse Arts, made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts. Engage collectively in this shared experience of depicting love of our environment and our place in it. Celebrate words, poems, and art together! All library events are free.
