Camel Rock is one of the most recognizable landmarks along the Humboldt County coastline, rising from the surf just south of Trinidad near the community of Westhaven. The distinctive sea stack gets its name from its unmistakable silhouette — two humps of weathered rock jutting from the Pacific, shaped over millennia by wind, wave and time. At low tide, the surrounding area reveals tide pools teeming with sea stars, anemones and other intertidal life, making it a favorite spot for beachcombers and nature lovers alike.

Who needs golden dunes when our camel gets to ride golden waves off the North Coast?
