Upon arrival, Sheriff’s Deputies contacted an employee of a nearby gas station who reported observing a female juvenile running after a vehicle and striking its windows as it drove away.
Deputies subsequently located the 17-year-old female juvenile in the area. The juvenile appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, was unable to care for herself, and was suffering from an apparent wrist injury. After Sheriff’s Deputies contacted the juvenile, she ran toward an uninvolved vehicle and attempted to pursue it before being detained by law enforcement personnel. Medical personnel responded to the scene and evaluated the juvenile for her wrist injury.
During the investigation, Deputies contacted the 21-year-old female victim who reported that the juvenile arrived at her residence at the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians and initiated a verbal confrontation that escalated into a physical altercation. The victim reported that during the incident, the juvenile threw multiple large rocks, striking her in the arm and causing visible injuries.
The incident continued along Coyote Valley Boulevard, where the juvenile threw a rock weighing approximately 10 pounds through the rear window of the victim’s vehicle, causing significant damage estimated to exceed $400. During a search of the victim’s vehicle, the large rock was located inside near the broken window.
Based on the statements obtained and evidence gathered during the investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies established probable cause to arrest the juvenile. The juvenile was taken into custody and booked into Mendocino County Juvenile Hall for 245(a)(1) PC – Assault with a Deadly Weapon Other than a firearm, 594(b)(1) PC – Vandalism causing more than $400 in Damages, and 647(f) PC – Public Intoxication.

Here’s a Ukiah adjacent haiku called Rainy Day Women.
When Bob Dylan said
Everybody must get stoned
This wasn’t the dream
Ukiah morn,
lovers’ spat, rocks meet a car,
kid ends up in cuffs.
Don’t forget to arrest the maggot who provided the alcohol to this young person.
Let’s hope she can clean up her life and be a productive member of society.
People giving minors drugs, alcohol, access to illegal substances and actions YOU SUCK!!!
QUIT TAINTING ALL THE KIDS WITH DRUGS, SEX, VIOLENCE LIKE ITS NORMAL ITS NOT!!!
KENDALL…get the enabling trashholes too!!!
The kid you save may be your own.
Scenario…Get the CHP call only to find out it is your relative.
COYOTE VALLEY SOBER NATION
ALL DRUGS OUT!!!
TAKE A STANCE Tribal COUNCIL!!!
YOU WANT HOUSING, PER CAP, ETC SOBRIETY IS REQUIRED.
There comes a time in life when a person needs to stop blaming others and take full responsibility for what they do. Alcohol did not make this young woman violent anymore than herion makes a person a junkie. Grow up, drug dealers just provide what people want. Apparently just like you would like to blame strangers for your own poor life choices.
That isn’t true. I take it you’ve never been around an angry drunk or someone on another substance when that mental, emotional, substance-imbibed trigger happens in their head when they become a chapter from Dr Jekyll then Mr. Hyde on you. Alcohol in particular will make one snap, especially if they have a short fuse to begin with and your inhibitions nose dive. I have been up front and personal with that far more times than I care to remember.
Give people what they want? I’m no prohibitionist, what you do to your body is your problem, but when your addiction gets the best of you and you take it out on the rest of us, now it’s ALL our problem, and you need to get rid of that habit before you get yourself killed. Free drugs doesn’t fix addiction. If anything it enables it.
To add: Blaming others for taking that drug or drink is just blame-projecting. Unsafe or unhealthy environments absolutely can make one consider saying “f-it, I’m getting wasted tonight”, as a way to cope, but it’s also unhealthy for everyone later.
As an alcoholic I have a difference of opinion.Ive had multiple friends die from booze and or heroin and AIDS from using dirty needles. Another life choice is compassion but let’s not mistake sympathy for buying into someone else’s excuses and denial.
