Shanda told me it was caused by a grease fire.
Maybe a burner was left on at close of business that gradually turned into a fire? Full disclosure, I am speculating.

Boo.
I worked as a cook in an Indian restaurant in Amsterdam where the chef said that if you have a grease fire, pour some milk on it. I think they use milk for a lot of things in India. It works.
Hoping Woodrose bounces back!

Milk on a grease fire? And you survived the explosion? Water vaporizes in hot grease and makes it splatter everywhere. And then your fire is even bigger.

No, it wasn’t a full on grease fire. It was smoldering bits of omelette and potato underneath the burners. Of course with grease fire one would never do something like that lol

Woodrow in this case is a play on words. It was named after Woodrow Hanson, the father of Pam & Tom, who founded the business.

Fantastic job firefighters. Your quick work may have saved the whole restaurant from burning down. I am very happy that there were no injuries. It is very comforting to know you are always there when we need you most!
