Trinity County Planning Commission to Hold Study Session on Draft Zoning Code
Press release from the Trinity County Planning Commission:
The Trinity County Planning Commission will hold a public study session on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. to continue reviewing sections of the County’s Draft Zoning Code update. The meeting will take place in the Trinity County Library Conference Room (351 Main Street, Weaverville).
During the study session, the Planning Commission will continue its review of Part 2 and Part 4 of the Draft Zoning Code, building on discussions previously held on January 29 and February 26, 2026. The session will include further discussion of several sections within these chapters, including provisions related to cannabis land uses, with the goal of gathering additional input and direction from the Commission.
Based on feedback received during the study session, the County’s consultant team will work with Planning staff to refine the draft and prepare a Public Review Draft of the Zoning Code, which will be released for broader public review and comment at a future date.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meeting or submit written comments at the meeting, through the comment function on the trinity2050.com website, or via email to info.planning@trinitycounty.
