Historic Eureka Theater Celebrates 87 Years with Birthday Concert Featuring MARCHFOURTH and Object Heavy

The historic Eureka Theater is throwing a massive party, and the whole community is invited. On Saturday, February 28, 2026, the iconic Streamline Moderne landmark will celebrate its 87th birthday with a concert event featuring the return of two phenomenal bands that packed the house last year.

The celebration begins at 7:00 PM with a special birthday social, offering champagne and cake. Then, the music takes over.

Headlining the night is Portland’s own MARCHFOURTH, a genre-defying spectacle that transforms a concert into a moving carnival. Known for explosive brass-fueled funk, jaw-dropping stilt walkers, acrobats, and vibrant costumes, MarchFourth promises a joyous, high-energy experience.

Kicking off the evening will be Humboldt County’s favorite soul and funk powerhouse, Object Heavy. Fresh into 2026, the local legends will deliver their signature electrifying live show, rich harmonies, and deep-groove rhythms that get every crowd moving.

“This is more than a concert, it’s a thank you to a theater that has been a pillar of our community for 87 years,” said Gregg Foster, Board President of the Eureka Theater. “We’re reigniting the magic by welcoming back two incredible bands and inviting everyone to help us celebrate this beloved venue. The Eureka Theater belongs to the community as a place of joy and inclusion.”

Opened in 1939 as a premier cinema, the Eureka Theater has served as a gathering place for arts and community for generations. This birthday bash is a chance to honor its legacy while creating new memories.
