From the photo it looks like it’s in the middle of nowhere…how the hell are you driving so erratically (with 62 pounds) that warrants getting pulled over in the first place!?

Driver profiling. Why would you use a K9 team for a traffic stop otherwise?

Wonder why they blacked out the license plate on the bumper. Are they not allowed to reveal identities now?

Could the license plate be on the back door when closed ,?

Weed is legal. Why are citizens being robbed? Maybe its under $900. so just a misdemeanor.

All weed is not legal, LEOs seizing illegal weed is not robbery and possessing/transporting any amount of any value is only a misdemeanor — are you trying to prove you’re universally misinformed?

It’s like moonshiners even after Prohibition ended.

I’m not saying that being a legal weed grower is a cakewalk, especially in Humboldt. (It’s ridiculous for small and OG growers who try to do the “right thing”).

Meanwhile, as this 63# was being unloaded, another 500 drove right past them. ‘Tis the season.

But it is the law right? All these people in the comments supporting this because it’s illegal by law are the same people that would support the legal age of consent in Mississippi being 16 years old because it’s the law. Since when was the law > morality?

It’s illegal weed. More than 28 grams. At 200 a p that’s 12,400 bucks tax free. No robbery, just justice. Get em.

Then subtract $40 for your materials to grow the pound, $50 to have someone trim it, the value of your time working on it throughout the summer, and you wind up with $3000-4000 to pay about 90% of your property taxes.

Nope. I have a job and make money to pay my property taxes. These are low life criminals, but most people are.

If it were illegally grown tomatoes… Would it be different? Jay walking is illegal. WE should keep wasting public funds on plants and not dangerous drugs.

Yeah like all those murders and thefts over pizza sauce happening in the back country! The light pollution of legal tomato growers is damaging wildlife! Spaghetti food comas are impairing the youth of America! The guerrilla grows of tomatoes on public lands are out of control and the tomato industry has been taken over by the Sicilians!

>”Jay walking is illegal.”

Not in Californika.

Jaywalking isn’t entirely legal or illegal in California; thanks to the 2023 Freedom to Walk Act (AB 2147), police can only ticket pedestrians for crossing unsafely and creating an immediate danger of collision, not just for crossing outside a crosswalk or against a signal, making safe crossings without a crosswalk generally permissible.

That could very possibly be six big plants worth of flowers, totally legal. Waste of time.

Maybe but, You can’t have more than 28 grams out of your house. I love to see my tax dollars hard at work.

Just need your medical card. That 28g limit is only for recreational. Not trying to start an argument just helping to clarify.

Any bust over five pounds should be analyzed for toxic pesticides, with additional charges brought if found.
Secret shoppers at dispensaries would also help. “Fake” terps are nothing but fraud.

lol, So how is driving packaged weed around unsafe for the community?

Tell the judge its from six plants and was just doing research regarding the curing process. Driving rural roads helps the buds move around. Eventually leading to a smoother smoke.
