My neighbor on our river says he is moving into the drying shed for the nigh from what he is seeing, never heard him say that in 23 years.
12:40 pm Drove the Avenue from Miranda to south entrance. Water level is just a few feet below the pavement. Water is covering road at old Sylvandale. Thats a pretty level stretch so it remains shallow. The rain is pretty much over down here. Been my experience that when the river is this high even an hour without more rain starts to drop the level. There a low spot on Maple Hills Rd. south of Salmon Creek just south of Bear Butte Rd. that is close to going under. River gage station at Sylvandale says the river will peak at 2:00 pm and slowly drop from then.
Thanks Dave! Those details are helpful to know. “A few feet below the pavement” paints a picture of a river with a LOT of water!!!
Thank You for this information and alert
You are welcome
Some semi-obscure mountain creeks are included in that list!
