A semi-truck traffic collision with no reported injuries slowed northbound traffic on Highway 101 in Mendocino County late this morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page, the crash was reported around 11:13 a.m. near mile marker 36.80. The  semi-truck went into an embankment and came to rest on the right-hand side of the roadway.

CHP logs state that two people were out of the vehicle and no injuries were reported.

The No. 2 lane is being shut down for an extended period to allow for recovery operations. Tow services were requested, and CHP reported continued lane closures as crews worked to remove the truck.

Traffic impacts remained possible in the area while recovery efforts were underway. This is a developing report, and information may change as more details become available.

Odd place to be going up an embankment, especially on that long steep grade.

The semi hit the embankment; it did not go up. Thankfully there were no injuries.
