With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Manuel Henry Arruda, age 80, of Logan, Utah. Manuel passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024, leaving behind a life full of laughter, music, and deep devotion to those he loved.

Born on July 10, 1944, Manuel grew up with a strong sense of family, humor, and appreciation for the simple joys in life. He was a man who never met a stranger—his quick wit, warm smile, and joyful spirit left lasting impressions wherever he went. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, and he made life more fun just by being in it.

A loving father and loyal friend, Manuel’s greatest pride was his family. He was devoted to his wife of 32 years Judy, who was a constant by his side as well as his children. He found joy in every moment spent with them. His love was unconditional, his advice always honest, and his hugs unforgettable.

Manuel had a lifelong passion for Stock Car racing, playing guitar and singing Unchained Melody to his wife whenever possible. He was also an avid NASCAR fan who rarely missed a race—cheering with the same enthusiasm he brought to every part of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Judy, his children Tara Arruda (CeCe), Blaine Arruda, Lindsey Salizzoni (Sofie), Valerie Rios (Paul), Carolyn Lenzie (David), his Grandchildren Brandon Hubbard (Alyssa), Gary Hubbard, Rebekha Villalpando (Joe), Maxwell Lenzie, Mitchell Lenzie, LiliAnne Lenzie, Brittany Rios, Michael Rios (Jen), his great grandchildren Sawyer, Marcelo and Uriah who will carry forward his legacy of laughter, love, and strong family values.

He is also survived by his siblings Frank Arruda, Jr (Jean), Leonard Arruda (Debbie), Emmie Arruda Peterson (John), Sister in Law Pat Arruda, Gloria Alves (Ernie), Renee Traylor (Mike), Carl Wood, Jr (Lynn), Charlie Brunton (Lori).

Manuel was preceded in death by his daughter Denice Yvonne Hubbard, his parents Frank Arruda, Sr., Emma ‘Julie’ Arruda, Sisters Dolores Arruda, Gloria Chambers, Brother John Arruda, Mother in Law, Sophia Hanratty as well as 2 brothers whome died in infancy.

A celebration of Manuel’s life will be held at The Eureka Elks Lodge, 445 Herrick Avenue, Eureka, CA on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Honor Guard to follow at 3:00 PM. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend, share memories, and honor the man who made the world brighter for those around him.

He lived with heart, he loved without hesitation, and he left this world with a song.
